Cookie Policy

This page describes the cookies and similar technologies (pixels, local storage, SDKs) that Vetch uses on vetch.vet — and the choices you have.

Last updated: May 8, 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember things across visits — like whether you’re signed in, which page you last looked at, or which version of an A/B test you’re in. We also use related technologies (web beacons, local storage, server logs) which we treat the same way as cookies in this policy.

2. Categories we use

Strictly necessaryAuthenticate sessions, prevent fraud, remember your cookie choices. Always on — the site won't work without them.
AnalyticsAggregated, privacy-respecting analytics so we can see which pages are useful and which aren't. No cross-site tracking.
FunctionalOptional features like remembering your preferred currency, language, or dismissed banners.
MarketingUsed sparingly, only to measure whether our marketing campaigns reach the right audiences. Off by default in regions where consent is required.

3. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by service providers acting on our behalf (analytics, error monitoring, marketing measurement). These vendors are bound by contract to use the data only for the purposes we specify and to keep it secure. The current list of providers is on our DPA page.

5. “Do Not Track”

There is no consensus standard for “Do Not Track” signals. We do not currently respond to DNT, but we do respond to GPC as described above.

6. Changes

When we add or remove a cookie provider we update this page. The latest version always controls.
